“The best speaker is not the one that gives the most, it’s the one that loses the least…”

It is the words of founder John Bowers that lies at the heart of the B&W engineering philosophy: relentless pursuit of perfect, uncompromising reproduction of sound. And it’s something we felt appropriate to embrace as part of our design philosophy, creating an elegant, consistent and restrained design approach that seeks to perfectly frame the product without distractions or decoration.

Another challenge handed to us was to bring to life equally iconic, but radically different products like 800 Series Diamond and Zeppelin Wireless. We gave each range a considered visual identity to resonate with their wildly different customers, but that still felt inimitably part of the B&W family.

Interface

Whether diving into handcrafted, precision-engineered details or getting a sense for the uniqueness of each product, we focused on strong visuals, immaculate presentation and interaction design that empowers the viewer to control the product story.

We worked to develop a consistent set of interactions across the new product pages, with a new “glass” interface that is always present - but fades into the background when not actively engaged with. Clean to the point of minimalism, it is also highly practical - working consistently irrespective of scale, background colour or content type.
